Homeland Security / Anti-Terrorist Training
All of us in the law-enforcement community have always understood the need to prepare for acts of domestic terrorism. The brutal attacks of September 11, 2001 awakened us to the need to prepare for international terrorism as well. Our citizens are mandating this preparedness; therefore we must train our police officers to meet this challenge.
The
staff at NASTA has worked closely with federal, state, county and city agencies
to deal with such an attack. Through
dealing with actual situations and conducting intense training, we have come to
realize that many of our current training programs may be adapted to neutralize
such threats.
Our
QUAD Training
Programs are very well adapted to preparing the first responding officer to deal
with “active shooter” situations, whether it is domestic or international in
nature. Obviously,
a terrorist, who is actively hurting innocent people, must be stopped by first
responding officers!
In this situation, we no longer have the luxury to wait for our SWAT
team. QUAD
Training
provides officers with the tactics necessary to efficiently react to these
attacks and save innocent lives.
Basic
and advanced SWAT training has been limited to tactical officers, in the past.
With the new threats facing our country, we must arm our police officers
with the tactics and training needed to more safely accomplish their missions.
NASTA’s Basic and Advanced SWAT Schools fill this need.
